More than 50 Iranian nationals are set to return from the United States, according to an official statement from Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday. The move comes as U.S. authorities under President Donald Trump continue enforcing stricter immigration rules that have affected several communities, including Iranians.

Iran Confirms the Return Group

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei announced that:

  • 50 to 55 Iranians will be returning in the coming days.
  • This is the second wave of Iranian returnees in recent months.
  • CNN reports the group will land in Iran after a stopover in Kuwait.

Iran Criticizes U.S. Immigration Measures

Baqaei criticized the U.S. for what he described as:

  • “Racist actions against foreign nationals,”
  • Policies “politically motivated,”
  • Anti-immigration rules that “violate human rights standards.”

He stated that the Iranians involved were facing intense pressure from U.S. authorities, which led them to approach the Iranian Interests Section in Washington requesting assistance to return home.

Why These Returns Matter

This development highlights:

  • Growing tensions in U.S.–Iran relations,
  • The impact of U.S. immigration crackdowns on specific nationalities,
  • Increasing uncertainty for foreign nationals living in the U.S.
